Introduction Video Assistant Referee (VAR)


Video assistant referees is for support the decision making process of referees in football competition. Video assistant referee (VAR) is the new innovation in sports.  They are only used in the four game changing situations and provide minimum interference with maximum benefit.
 The Video Assistant Referee (VAR) have been use in FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia and its start using it in the Champions League and Europa League.  UEFA (Union of European Football Association) executive committee has announced that European football’s governing body will also deploy the technology to help referees in the 2019 UEFA Super Cup in Istanbul, the 2020 European Championship and the UEFA Nations League finals in 2021. Announcing the decision on Thursday, UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin said in Independent News “We're confident that introducing VAR in August 2019 will give us enough time to put in place a robust system & to train match officials to ensure an efficient, successful implementation of VAR in the Champions League, the world’s flagship club competition.”
How the Video Assistant Referee is when the three main incidents (plus one administrative) have been identified as game-changing in football game as for example goals, penalty decision, direct red card incidents, and mistaken identity. The places for Video Assistant Referee is been located in special room inside the football stadium and can be fit with 4-5 assistant referee.
